Terms of Service
These terms apply to your use of “Where is?” (the “app”). Installing and using the app means you accept them.
1. The service
The app automatically records the time and location at which a registered Bluetooth device disconnects, and helps you find it again on a map. If you sign in, records are kept on a server and a chosen device can be shared with other users.
2. Price
The app is free. Data charges follow your mobile carrier's terms.
3. Accounts
- Recording and viewing work without an account.
- Accounts are created through Google sign-in.
- You may delete your account at any time from the app's settings or the Delete Account page. Deleting removes your server records and sharing relationships, and cannot be undone.
4. Sharing
- Sharing works per device. Only records from a shared device are visible to the other person; devices you did not share stay private.
- To invite someone you need their six-character tag, and they must accept.
- If sharing stops or a member is removed, that person can no longer see the device's records, and records already downloaded to their device are deleted. What they saw or copied beforehand cannot be taken back.
- This feature involves another person's location. Share only within what that person knows about and agrees to.
5. Accuracy
A recorded location is the result of measurement and estimation. Indoors and underground, where the satellite signal is weak, the error grows, and a floor estimate can be wrong depending on the surroundings. The app shows how reliable a record is, but does not guarantee accuracy. We are not liable for loss of property or a vehicle, parking fines, towing, or similar damages.
6. Your obligations
- Do not use the app to determine someone's location without their consent.
- Do not reverse-engineer the app or place an excessive load on the service.
- Do not use invitations repeatedly to harass another user.
7. Changes and interruption
Features may change as the app improves. If the service must be discontinued, notice will be given in the app or on this site, with time for you to check your records and close your account.
8. Disclaimer
We are not liable for damages caused by natural disasters, network failures, or problems in the operating system or third-party services (maps, notifications, weather and so on). The app is provided “as is”.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes fall under the court designated by the Civil Procedure Act.
